Looking Ahead to MeeGo 1.3
MeeGo development continues forward on a six-month cadence, with MeeGo 1.3 scheduled to be released in October, 2011.
Many new features targeting MeeGo 1.3 have already been accepted in MeeGo Featurezilla. The development tree for MeeGo 1.3 is open and we are starting to integrate new components now.

Using MeeGo 1.2 on my Samsung Q328 laptop, quiet surprised how fast it is booting to the desktop, and runs like an express train too! Good stuff! Am looking forward to the next update and a few more applications in the repo.
Congratulations to the MeeGo team for there persistence and own time on this project.
Looking ahead to meego 1.3,
It is an amazing news. When
It is an amazing news. When we will be getting it. From the quoted highlights of the products, I can be of a lot of use. I am using N900 I'm looking for the deal on many websites, I found one tanga , Have you tried? . I would like to know which class will work perfectly with it. Some were saying 4 will work, is it true? Or I need to buy a new one. Good news is Meego 1.3 is also releasing soon. I am sure it will be much more advanced from this release.

Meego for Nokia E7-00 or N8-00
as title , can we try install meego to e7 , n8 , c7 , x7 , e6 ....., if we can how to do ??
broadcom wirless
I tried MeeGo after a long time. Interface is good. The one thing it still blocks to install in my dell mini 9 netbook is broadcom wireless. I read that in this realease broadcom wireless is supported. but with BCM4312 it still not working. I will try again. and post the results.
on Poulsbo/GMA500 netbook?
GMA500
I don't know if GMA500 is in by default, but I've read about several people who used GMA500 drivers together with the 1.2 development code. So if not full drivers OOtB then probably relatively easy to add.
gma500 wanted here too please
I've an O2 joggler (made by OpenPeak), which is a GMA500-based touchscreen computer disguised as a picture frame, and I too would like to try meego on it.
try the developer edition
If you are looking for something to install on your N900 it is probably best to try the developer edition 'DE'. It has not quite had a final 1.2 release just yet, but hopefully it won't be long.

MeeGo for N900
Thanks for the mention Ross! Indeed we are targeting to have a release of N900 DevEdition available for the Conference, and it is built on top of final MeeGo 1.2. But it doesn't stop there, as there seems to be community interest it will continue evolving.
You can find "vanilla" MeeGo 1.2 images here, also for N900: http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/stable/1.2.0.90/1.2.0.90.0.20110517.1.... But like you said for N900, the DevEdition might be interesting since it has additional applications, contributions and fixes. You can find the main wiki page now at: http://wiki.meego.com/N900.
I will be at the Conference as well, and hoping to have good discussions around this topic! My presentation is here: http://sf2011.meego.com/program/sessions/meego-12-developer-edition-noki...

MeeGo for N900
Answering to myself here, if you are interested in MeeGo running on N900 you should check this out: http://wiki.meego.com/N900.
Kudos!
Big Kudos to the MeeGo team. I really appreciate the development team's undaunted effort to push MeeGo to its limits and full capability. Many thanks to Intel and all the volunteers.

Great!
Thanks to all who have been working hard to keep Meego moving forward and make this release possible. I'm much looking forward to testing this out (on my N900) and trying out some of the great new app development technologies.
Cheers!
microSDHC card (which class?)
I bought a 16GB, class 4 and have read that it should be a class 6 minimum. Do you think its worthwhile buying a class 10 (like: the quicker the better) ? With my 16GB, class 4 I did not succeed at all and find the How-Tos pretty difficult.
Class 10 is known to have
Class 10 is known to have problems with N900. Class 6 is best, and class 4 might be ok. You should find good instructions here: http://wiki.meego.com/N900
Class 10 or class 6
Hi, while waiting for the final release I want to buy a microSDHC card class 10, but now I am unsure. I cannot find any reports about problems with class 10, especially here http://wiki.meego.com/N900. This is very important to me, please indicate exact report.
Class 10 problems
Hi,
you can find comments eg. here: http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900/Performance. ("With class 10 card image worked really unstable."). It's a known issue that some class 10 cards do not work with N900, you can find similar threads from maemo also eg. http://maemo.org/community/maemo-users/n900_microsd_card_i-o_errors_and_....
Based on available data and user feedback, class 6 is your best bet.
Thank you ...
... for your quick replay, I just could not find it.

There are images available here: http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/stable/1.2.0.90/1.2.0.90.0.20110517.1..., also for N900. But in addition we have a developer release cooking, and you can find everything about it at: http://wiki.meego.com/N900.
