The MeeGo v1.1 for IVI release includes:

• Sample IVI home screen and taskbar are included. The IVI home screen and taskbar are built with QT 4.7 included in the MeeGo 1.1 core software platform. The taskbar is designed with Automotive Center Console HMI requirements in mind. By default, it appears on the left side of the screen, but easy customizations can move it to the right side of the screen to optimize access for the driver or passenger, as desired. The taskbar can be controlled by a Contour ShuttleXpress scroll wheel, touch screen, or mouse and is designed to reflect the scroll wheel usage, with the ability to spin through the menu options and make selections or go back, by pressing two button or by tapping the touch screen.
• TTS (Text-to-speech) is supported using Festival Speech Synthesis. TTS is enabled by default in ivihome menu navigation.
• Initial speech recognition has been added to ivihome using the integrated PocketSphinx 0.6.1 package, is a lightweight, cross-platform engine that is built using the latest Sphinx speech recognition toolkit. PocketSphinx provides a GStreamer plugin, allowing the application to create a pipeline to parse the human voice, based on words defined in the dictionary. Voice commands for ivihome have been pre-defined for navigating the scroll menus.
• MeeGo Touch Framework integration, including sample applications which include, but are not limited to: video player, song player, photo viewer, hands free dialer, and settings management.
• Packages from open source automotive projects are available from the repository for audio management, resource management, persistent storage management, CE device management, and system health management.

Supported Hardware

In general, MeeGo v1.1 for IVI will run on Intel Atom* based in-vehicle infotainment systems and has been tested on the following platforms:

• Intel Russellville eMenlow systems

Installing

1. Download the image above
2. Load the image onto your device or PC
3. Copy the image (required) to a USB drive or burn to CD
   Image size (img): ~700 MB
4. Follow the instructions to install the image. (estimated time: 30 minutes to download, install, and reboot)
